“My very first Monster High doll was the original Ghoulia Yelps doll. She is my favorite Monster High character. I ordered her from an online toy store, so I only had pictures to go on until she arrived by mail a few days later.
I was extremely impressed with how beautifully detailed she is! Her outfit is almost exactly like her clothes in the webisodes! She has wonderfully glittery eyeshadow. Her headband is sewn onto her head and her hair pulled back to tuck her glasses in; an extremely useful feature so that she doesn’t loose her iconic glasses. Her glasses even include real plastic lenses!
She is arguably the most accurate doll reproduction of the Monster High cast.
As I have played with her, there have been a few small details I have noticed that you should be aware of before including this wonderful girl in your own collection. First, to keep her shirt tucked in, it was actually made as a leotard. Add the pants and plastic belt and she has some trouble bending at the waist, so sitting for pictures is a challenge. Second, although her zipper earrings are adorable, they are stiff, molded plastic and are not hinged like real zippers. And finally, getting Ghoulia into her naturally relaxed, almost droopy posture is impossible given the limitations of her head movement and lack of hinge in her neck or torso.
But I love my Ghoulia doll just the same!”

“Every Monster High Doll is beautiful in it’s own way, however, Ghoulia Yelps holds a special place in my heart. As a daughter of the Zombies she shows us that eating brains and walking around dragging one of your feet can be super cute and not so scary!
She has beautiful blue hair and wears her horned rimmed glasses… because she is “BRAINY” not nerdy. What wrong with Brains after all? She comes with her wise companion Sir-Hoots-A-Lot… and who doesn’t LOVE owls in this day and age? She is amazingly stylish and shows us young and old it’s cool to read and that something is to be learned from everything we do!
She is a wonderful addition to the Monster High Dolls and should be in everyone’s collection!! On a side note, I started buying MH for my 10 year old daughter…but we agreed to SHARE the collection because, I am one cool mom!

I completely agree. I’m trying to buy them for my 5 year old daught, they are all she wants for Christmas, and I can’t find any at the stores anymore. Not to mention, my poor dad didn’t know how much their price is at the stores (about $16) and bought one on E-Bay, thinking it was a great deal. He ended up paying $45!!! I feel horrible. justice stores everywhere! Keep getting shipments in.
I search all over and went into my local Justice store and they had everything. Doll cloths , pillow, and even children’s cloths with the logo. Justice stores are about $5.00′s more expensive than anywhere else, but at least it’s not e-bay prices.

Holy crap, you guys are so rude! Really. All of you need to calm your sh*t and get the f*ck over the fact that, yeah, some people don’t like some doll sculpts, who cares? Just because you don’t like Ghoulia doesn’t mean everyone has to hate her.
I, for one, congratulate the design of this character and doll. I love her personality and her sculpt. Sir Hoots a Lot is adorable and Ghoulia’s dress sense is amazing.
